  1. This is so funny! Gosh, I love you Raina. Waylon and I got a kick out of this. So cool that you get to see Elk when you run AND you know how to do a pretty cute elk call. You rock.

  2. That is hilarious! Every now and then I see white-tailed deer, but nothing like a herd of elk!

Honey Badger won't lie, I might have gotten scared cuz those things are big!! LOL

I'll zap my ice bath tips to you here in a bit, til then, enjoy the animals and the scenery!

  3. Oh, I want to run with ELK too:)

Really, so beautiful where you live. I imagine runs where you do not see anyone, just you and nature, so peaceful.

  6. Beautiful Raina! I have no idea how you can be such a speed demon running where you live!!!! I would just want to run SLOW long runs and soak it all in!!

Max was fascinated with the Elk. He was not as fascinated with your call-ha! "Raina needs an elk call for Christmas". Exact words. I then tried to do my own elk call and he told me it was like a pig squeal.....You win:):)

  7. ELK! I see them sometimes (rarely) while hiking, but they usually don't venture down to this elevation, so I don't see them running.

Your elk call was entertaining. I'm always amazed at how such a big animal makes such a little squeal.

  8. You are too funny! My mom and I just watched that together. She compared you to the shrieking eels in the Princess Bride!

  10. Fun to see what you get to see when you run! I saw deer on my run today in Zion, more exciting than the usual Houston armadillos.

  11. Smashing little video and love the Elk call. The deer I sometimes come across on my runs are Roe deer which are much smaller but just as exciting to see. They make my runs all the more worthwhile. Unfortunately, they don't hang around or run with me like your Elk.
