What I run, What I burn, What I eat

Random post warning!

Also included, (but not limited to) : tuna, protein powder (plain & bulk), elk meat, venison, ham, cucumbers, apples (by the box), hummus, lots and lots of bread, peaches & pears.

I REALLY don't know why I made this post.
I am NOT a foodie. I do like to eat, though. I am an omnivore...

Milk is probably 20% of my diet. It would be interesting to see for sure.
But I have no desire to keep track =D .

We have two refrigerators -one is mostly for milk so we don't run out.
(This never used to be a problem, but we have kiddos who drink it- then I started to about 2 years ago)

Oh....and I forgot popcorn!

I go into food jags (for breakfast, lunch & snacks), until I get bored or the kids start to complain. Dinner is where I serve most of the vegetables..except for the smoothies with spinach.

When I am baaaaad, and there are no more chocolate chips, I mix up cocoa powder with sugar and butter and eat it plain. Yep.

But I put stevia in my coffee, because I don't want to run on straight sugar first thing in the morning. :)

  7. Number 3 is sitting here with me and we both laughed at the "Curved Yellow Fruit" sign. At first she went, "Yuck! Oh, wait those are bananas" You gotta love how kids naturally hate things they have never tried. ;-)

  9. I'm pretty sure this is the best post EVER! Love it (and I'm so not a foodie, either)! That greek salad photo made me drool on my keyboard.
I buy three gallons of milk every time I go to the grocery store and it lasts about four days if I'm lucky. Totally wish I had a second refrigerator for the milk!

  11. I love your bar graphs! Pretty amazing that you missed 3 weeks of training right in the heart of Boston Marathon training and still set a PR there - amazing.

Thanks for your comment yesterday, I really appreciate it. Your comment got me thinking about the exact number of races that I've done - so I researched it yesterday. Turns out I've done 109 cross country/track races and 29 road races for 138 total races, haha

  12. Lots of good food there! I've never tried the cocoa, sugar, butter mix. Sounds like I've been missing out!

  13. I love cottage cheese, too!
And popcorn. Sometimes I just have popcorn for dinner. When I graduated high school and left for college, my co-workers all got me an air popper, big bowl, popcorn and popcorn salt. I still use that same popper (oops, I typed pooper at first!) and bowl to this day. Yikes - it was 1996 that they gave it to me. Obviously they are quality products!

  14. Cocoa, butter and sugar?? Holy smokes, I thought I was the only one who did such craziness. And I ate an entire bag of Whole Foods Popcorn yesterday - at like $80/bag (I was there just cuz they had a sale on my favie lettuce...can you say "sucker"?). I do NOT, however, like cottage cheese...yet I do eat it cuz I know it's good for runners. Otherwise, we'd be twins! :)

I love your colorful charts!!! :)

  15. Did you take a couple weeks off from running for something.......Man, your mileage was great before that but then of course I already knew that because I was already stalking you by then-ha ha!!

I should NOT have read this before eating. Off to raid the chocolate chips! I swear it would be a major turn-on for my hubby to watch me chow down on a venison steak-ha! I've tried it but just gag! Joe and the kids love it!

My stupid computer is still broken but not all bad to be removed for a bit. Planted the garden and now going to sit and chow down on some popcorn WITH butter with the kiddos! Have a great night girl! Clicking on your training tab now:)

  17. that running graph is awesome -- teach me how!? does your GPS computer program do that?

I have to thank you for the heavy picture post...it's been a long work week, and right now it's much easier to look at pretty pictures of food than to read about them. :)

  18. Look at you superhero! You and your graphs. :) I was on my way to 70 miles that week that I just hit. the. wall. and fell apart. Then 1.5 ish weeks off and I"m feeling great again. This week will be 50 miles which is my sweet spot and I knew that before I started this process so I should just listen to myself. :) You're awesome and your diet looks great too! Fun! An we all need to have some sweets. Speaking of that...I have ice cream in the fridge...here I go...
